Below is a listing of Frequently Asked Questions regarding the 2021 Virtual Newport News One City Marathon. If you see a question that you would like the answer to, simply click on the question and the answer will be revealed.

How Can I register?

Click here to register online for any of our races. 

Only one runner per entry form. There will be NO entry fee refunds or transfers.

As of March 2, the Half Marathon & Maritime 8K have sold out.

What are the entry fees for the Marathon, Half Marathon, Maritime 8k, Nautical Mile, & Challenges?
What is the Cancellation/Refund Policy for the event?

Entry fees are non-refundable; race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to other persons. No exceptions.

Once I'm registered, can I switch races?

If you are already signed up for one race and want to switch to the other (i.e., the marathon to the marathon relay), you may do so by following these steps below, as long as a race has not sold out. There is a $10 fee to do so, along with any applicable entry fee increase. All changes must be made by February 20, 2021.

1. Visit Chronotrack Live
2. Log into your Chronotrack account. If you do not have one, you will need to create one so that you can manage your race(s)
3. Once logged in, you will see all of the races you are registered for. Beside each race there are two buttons, View Receipt and Change Race. CLICK Change Race.
4. If you would like to change your current race selection to a different race, select change race. Follow the prompts under each of these options to make the changes you desire.

Can I defer my entry to next year?

You may defer your entry from the 2021 Virtual Newport News One City Marathon, Half Marathon, Maritime 8k or Nautical Mile Fun Run to the 2020 event. The fee to defer an entry is $20 for the 8K and $30 for the Marathon and Half Marathon. You may only defer to and from the same event: 2021 Marathon to 2022 Marathon, 2021 Half Marathon to 2022 Half Marathon, or 2021 Maritime 8K to 2022 Maritime 8K. Deferred entries may not be transferred to another person. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. All deferrals must be done by February 20, 2021. There will be no deferrals after this date. You may only defer an entry once (i.e., if you defer your 2021 entry to 2022, you will not be able to defer it in 2022 to 2023).

To defer your race entry please follow these steps below:
1. Visit Chronotrack Live
2. Log into your Chronotrack account. If you do not have one, you will need to create one so that you can manage your race(s)
3. Once logged in, you will see all of the races you are registered for. Beside each race there are two buttons, View Receipt and Change Race. CLICK Change Race.
4. You will be given two options, either defer your race, or change your race. If you want to remove yourself from the current year’s race, and defer your entry to the following year, select defer. Follow the prompts under this option to make the changes you desire.

How do I receive my race packet?

Race packets will be mailed prior to March 1. If you have registered for the event after March 1, your packet will still be mailed, however it is possible that the packet may not arrive before the start of the event.

How Do I Submit Race Times?

Participants will submit race times on the One City Marathon App, for runs occuring between March 5 – 14, 2021. You will need these items to submit your time: Bib Number, Date of Birth, Finish Time, Proof (a photo), and a Selfie!
