DATE: MARCH 4, 2023 | TIME: 8:00 AM
The Maritime 5K (replacing the previous Maritime 8K) takes place at City Center Saturday morning of the event weekend. Located in Central Newport News, runners will experience the heart of the city’s retail and business district. An extremely flat course, out-and-back route is sure to deliver fast times and happy runners.
After crossing the finish line, runners can head to Tradition Brewing Company for day one of the One City Celebration.
The USATF race course certification is VA22002RT.
The Maritime 5K has a 1 hour 15 minute time limit (24:00/mile pace).
Maritime 5K Participants Recieve:

- Custom finishers medal
- Personalized bib (must register before January 30, 2023)
- The Maritime 5K uses MyLaps RFID chip technology. This tag is attached to your bib and records your time when you cross the Start/Finish line.

Water Stations
One water station will be provided along the Maritime 5K course.

Portable Toilets
For your convenience and use during the race, portable toilets will be available at the water station.
Parking Information
OTHER INFORMATION
Packet Pick-Up
Participants must attend packet pick-up to receive their bib and race shirt. If you are picking up a packet for another runner you must fill out and bring this authorization form. Packets MUST be picked up in advance. There is NO race day packet pickup.
Finisher Items
Finisher medals will be distributed to finishers during the race. None of these items will be mailed to registrants who did not participate.
Gear Check
Gear check for the Maritime 5K will be located at the start area and moved to the finish line at the start of the race. Participants must use the clear bag provided to them by race organizers. No exceptions will be made.
